The perfect gift? Bibs of course!

Before I get to the title of this post, our beautiful girls are now 10 months old! This past Friday we hit double digits. Both girls are doing great. Hannah is still doing well in physical therapy and her torticolis is improving. She is still a little unsteady while sitting but loves being on her tummy and in the jumperoo. She can roll extremely well and this seems to be her transportation of choice. Hailey is rocking on all fours and scooting backwards as well as spinning in circles. Yesterday she was on her tummy, grabbed the edge of the bouncer, and pulled up onto her knees! She also loves the exersaucer. I think she likes all the racket it makes when she jumps. Both Hannah and Hailey are babbling like crazy and enjoying trying new foods. We are still pretty on track for their adjusted age, which is about 7.5 months.

Now, we have a living room full of toys that we have purchased or that have been given to us. Don't get me wrong, Hailey and Hannah love their exciting toys but they seemed to have a great time playing with a bib this afternoon! I was not feeling well at all and it gave me a good laugh. Well, I smiled and laughed inside because my voice is gone. It was pretty funny and I took a lot of pictures but here are a couple.

Tug of war! Hannah is on the left, Hailey on the right.

Hailey is really trying to get the bib away. Every time she would get it for a second, Hannah would start to whine/cry. They are starting to get to a point where they really do not like toys being taken away. Especially if it's a really fun toy, like a cell phone or remote control.

Giving Thanks

It's hard to believe that it was only a year ago that my monoamniotic pregnancy was confirmed. The day before Thanksgiving we went to Jackson for a high resolution, target ultrasound and hoped to find a membrane dividing the babies. Instead, the doctor was able to see entangled cords. At this same appointment, we learned that we would be having two girls and that they were developing normally and healthy despite the situation, definitely something to be thankful for. This year we had even more blessings to thank God for. The past year has not been easy but we now have two beautiful, happy, healthy girls to be thankful for!

This year we spent Thanksgiving in two places. First we went to Louisville to see Fru-Fru where we ate lunch with family. We then traveled to Fulton (pretty good drive!) to eat with Matt's side of the family. Hailey and Hannah handled well, I was so proud of them. Everybody had a great time and they enjoyed all the attention. I left the camera in the car once we got to Fulton but here are some pics from Louisville. It was an absolutely gorgeous day so we were able to go outside for awhile.

Nine Months! (about a week ago!)

Well, last Wednesday Hailey and Hannah turned 9 months old! I was off work for the day so we could go for their well-baby visit and to get a flu shot. Just a side note, flu shots are no fun for babies! We had a pretty rough night that night! Both girls are doing great though and are weighing in at about 16 pounds (Hannah) and 17 pounds (Hailey)! They are eating their baby food really well and enjoying trying new foods. It's hard to believe it's been 9 months since they were born, I have no idea where the time has gone but it has. Here are some pictures we took Saturday in their "Twins are twice as much fun" shirts. And this is what happened when they were tired of posing for the camera and ready to roll around! Don't worry, we were right there so they wouldn't fall.

Fall Festival Fun!

This past Saturday we had our annual fall festival at church. We had a good time and enjoyed some great chili! The girls had a pretty good time too. Thought I would share some pics!
Hailey has discovered hay...

Hailey thinks Hannah should try the hay, Hannah doesn't look too thrilled about the idea!

So what have we been doing?

The past week or two have been so busy for us! It feels like we've constantly been coming and going. Today we spent the morning cleaning the house and organizing Hailey and Hannah's fall/winter clothes and trying to organize their closet. This afternoon we went to the Caledonia days festival to help hand out free water and cotton candy! This was a project our church was doing to try and reach out to the community. The girls behaved pretty well and got a lot of attention cruising around in their stroller. They even had their picture made for the Caledonia days album. (Ok, I know, that's not that big of deal, I didn't even know it existed!) For those of you who don't know, Caledonia is a very very very small town near where we live. It's not a place you are going to just drive through. But it's a great place, lots of nice people and a great community. Thought I would include a picture of the girls in their stroller. They were adorable! The weather was really nice at first and then before we went home it got a little windy and chilly, thank goodness we brought jackets!

Here's the picture

Ok, here's the picture I didn't post yesterday. It's on the message boards I visit also... I tried to take another one but the girls got fussy and then it was bathtime and now they are sleeping, so we'll try later.

8 months and counting!

Well today Hailey and Hannah hit eight months! It is absolutely amazing how far they have come. They are now the size of most eight month old babies. Looking at them one would never guess that they were only 2.5 pounds at birth! Developmentally, they are behind 8 months but are on track for their adjusted age. Both girls can hold themselves up for a little bit with their hands propped between their legs. They are rolling like crazy and trying so hard to get up on their knees. Hailey has discovered how to make "motor boat" noises and spit in the process. Hannah has a funny little laugh/chuckle that is absolutely adorable. I'm so excited for all the things they are getting close to doing. I believe that they are very close to crawling! It's so hard to believe that we are getting so close to a year. We've been down a long road and looking back it seems like no time at all.

Pictures to come soon.
